Nathan C. Falig Jr. Sentenced To 30 Years For September 2015 Sexual Assault

RE:  NATHAN C. FALIG JR. SENTENCED TO 30 YEARS FOR SEPTEMBER 2015 SEXUAL ASSAULT

OZARK, MO – The Christian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office announces that Nathan Calistro Falig Jr. was sentenced to 25 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for rape in the first degree, 25 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on each of two counts of sodomy in the first degree, 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for sexual abuse in the first degree, 5 years in the Missouri Department of corrections for kidnapping, and 4 years on each of two counts of tampering with physical evidence. Falig’s sentences for kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence will run consecutively to his sentences for rape, sodomy, and sexual abuse, for a total sentence of 30 years. Falig was found not guilty of armed criminal action.

The Honorable Judge Jennifer Growcock reached a verdict after hearing evidence about the September 2015 sexual assault over the course of a two-day bench trial held on July 25-26, 2017. The verdict was announced in open court on August 3, 2017.  Honorable Judge Jennifer Growcock sentenced Falig on October 3, 2017, at 10:00 AM.

Falig must serve a minimum of 85% of his sentence for felony offenses of kidnapping, rape in the first degree, and sodomy in the first degree before becoming eligible for parole.

The case was prosecuted by Christian County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kristen M. Tuohy.  The Ozark Police Department investigated the crime.
