Tarek Masri Employee Of The Month Of January!

TIMOTHY GREEN JR. SENTENCED TO 13 YEARS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR ASSAULT IN THE SECOND DEGREE AND ARMED CRIMINAL ACTION
OZARK, MO – The Christian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office announces that on January 10th, 2023, Timothy Green Jr. appeared for sentencing before the Honorable Jessica Kruse. Green Jr. was found guilty by a Christian County jury on November 29th, 2023, of assault in the second degree and armed criminal action for his role in an attack on the victim and her father. Judge Kruse sentenced Green Jr. to five (5) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for assault in the second degree and eight (8) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for armed criminal action. Judge Kruse ordered the sentences to run consecutively, for a total of thirteen (13) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
On July 18th, 2020, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Green Jr. and two accomplices attacked the victim and her father in the victim’s residence, which the victim was renting from Green. While the two accomplices held the victim by her arms, Green struck the victim across the back with a large wood plank, breaking the plank into two pieces and leaving significant bruising on the victim’s back.
Assault in the second degree is a class D felony; however, because Green Jr. was found to be a prior and persistent assault offender, he faced the range of punishment of a class B felony, five (5) to fifteen (15) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. Armed criminal action is an unclassified felony, the range of punishment for which is a minimum of three (3) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. A person convicted of armed criminal action must serve three (3) calendar years’ imprisonment before being eligible for parole, probation, or conditional release.
The case was investigated by the Ozark Police Department and prosecuted by Senior Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Dan Brogdon and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Tarek Masri. Dawn Kloba served as the Victim Advocate and Athena Brown served as Legal Assistant. Investigators Greg Reed and Justin Wishin assisted in the investigation and trial preparation for the Christian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Michael Younker Employee Of The Month Of December!
Please congratulate Michael Younker for being recognized as employee of the month of December! Besides doing a great job with his case load, he recently helped Anna with her jury trial, that ended in a guilty verdict! He also brings encouragement to those around him by answering any questions they have, and bringing a little humor along the way. Congrats Michael!
TIMOTHY GREENE JR. FOUND GUILTY OF ASSAULT IN THE SECOND DEGREE AND ARMED CRIMINAL ACTION
OZARK, MO – The Christian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office announces that on November 28th, 2023, after a two-day trial, a Christian County jury found Timothy Green Jr. guilty of assault in the second degree and armed criminal action. Green was found not guilty on separate charges of assault in the second degree and armed criminal action.
On July 18th, 2020, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Green and two accomplices attacked the victim and her father in the victim’s residence, which the victim was renting from Green. The jury deliberated for approximately three hours before arriving at its verdict. The case was investigated by the Ozark Police Department and prosecuted by Senior Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Dan Brogdon and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Tarek Masri. Dawn Kloba served as the Victim Advocate and Athena Brown served as Legal Assistant. Investigators Greg Reed and Justin Wishin assisted in the investigation and trial preparation for the Christian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Green will be sentenced by Christian County Circuit Judge Jessica Kruse on January 10th, 2024. As a persistent felony offender, Green faces a range of punishment of up to fifteen years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for the charge of assault in the second degree and a minimum of three years incarceration for the charge of armed criminal action.
