Congratulations to the first Christian County Employee of the Quarter for 2021—Kristen Tuohy!

Ms. Tuohy received this award for her continued leadership and dedication to her co-workers in the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the citizens of Christian County. Ms. Tuohy works countless hours to seek and serve justice. Ms. Tuohy has been serving in the Christian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office since July 2012. She currently serves as a First Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. She prosecutes sex crimes and child abuse. She does an excellent job serving the interests of justice and the victims in the cases she handles, the vast majority of whom are children.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which first began in 1981 by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence as a Day of Unity. Domestic violence affects millions, both women and men, of every race, religion, culture and status.




CARES Act funding awarded for temporary APA’s and Investigators, APA’s sworn in
Beginning in August the CCPA was able to hire three veteran Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys, Rachel Smith, Dwight Scroggins, and Joe Schoeberl and two experienced investigators, Kevin Holle and Justin Varner. The final member of the CARES ACT Team started on September 9, 2020. The team will serve through December 2020. While here they will be focused on assisting in addressing the caseload backlog created as a result of the pandemic.
