ENTIRE 38th CIRCUIT IS NOW “FILELESS”

In April 2011, the Christian County Prosecutor’s Office joined the Taney County Prosecutor’s Office and completed it’s transition to a fileless office. As a fileless office, the Christian County Prosecutor’s Office no longer relys on paper files in day to day prosecution and court operations. Instead, assistant prosecuting attorneys bring laptops to Court and access case files and documents electronically. All police reports, witnesses statements, and legal pleadings are scanned into a centralized database that is indexed and searchable by defendant, case and witness information. Calendaring and docketing are also handled automatically by the system as well as document storage and retention.

The fileless office model Christian County employs is based around PROSECUTORbyKARPEL, a browser based criminal case management system using the latest .NET and SQL Server technology developed by Karpel Solutions. The Christian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is proud to be  a pilot county for the State of Missouri and Karpel Solutions in the implementation and testing of new technologies and efficiencies in employing the fileless model.
